Not in My Backyard: Cities Reject Burial for Nazi War Criminal

(from spiegel.de)

“Ever since convicted Nazi war criminal Erich Priebke died last week, everyone from the Roman government to the Catholic Church have been washing their hands of him. Officials in his German hometown fear a burial site there could become a pilgrimage site for neo-Nazis.”

Maybe they can unify the architects and the victims in one place, bury him in Standard Oil IG Farben Auschwitz and send the invoice to EXXON, so everybody can meditate on their responsibilities, it may be good that neo-Nazis may once in a while have a pilgrimage in extermination camps, the ones who forgive history are deemed to repeat it.
