Spanish train conductor was on phone and going 95 mph, investigators say

(from cbsnews.com:)

“The driver was on the phone with a colleague and reading a document as his train barreled ahead at 95 mph – almost twice the speed limit. Suddenly, a notorious curve was upon him. He hit the brakes too late.”

Well, this is just one of thousands of cell-phones and tablets related accidents. It invites a honest analysis of whether it may not be now a wise thing to do, to install first mandatory jammers in all the control cabins of mass transit systems, and furthermore down the line, adopting the same type of technology retrofit, for private transport as well.
